The Sri Lanka Journal of Emergency Medicine was established in 2025 as the official publication of the Accident and Emergency Department, Teaching Hospital Kalutara. The journal serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, experiences, and developments in the field of emergency medicine. It publishes articles relevant to emergency care, clinical practice, education, and service development. This inaugural volume (Vol. 1, December 2025) marks the beginning of the journal’s contribution to the growth and strengthening of emergency medicine in Sri Lanka.
